Our story begins in the same classrooms where our friendship was formed. Eric Itugi and Robert Kavai met in middle school, continued together through high school, and quickly discovered they shared two things: a love for technology and a deep desire to help people around them grow. Over the years, they watched brilliant classmates graduate with strong degrees, only to sit at home without work, battling frustration, anxiety, and even depression because they could not support themselves or their families.
Our Story and Mission
- Eric went on to earn a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science, while Robert pursued a BA in Electrical Engineering. As they advanced in their own careers, one reality became impossible to ignore: in their community and across many parts of Africa, there was no shortage of talent—only a shortage of opportunity. That gap is where the idea for Elevraa was born: a social enterprise that connects global businesses with highly educated, underemployed youth through remote work.
